It took almost 2 years of renovation and conversion into a dedicated reception facility, and finally the long awaited Titanic Hotel Belfast opened its doors to the public.
Entirely inspired and dedicated to the legendary British transatlantic, a strong identity and imagination distinguish the Titanic Hotel Belfast with its refined design and magical atmosphere capable of arousing great emotions.
The hotel is located opposite the Titanic Belfast maritime museum right in the same building that once housed the offices of Harland & Wolff, the Belfast shipbuilding industry that created the White Star Line, a work of architectural perfection from the authentic Victorian style.
Between history and reality
With a £ 28 million project, this 119-room hotel has been designed to honor the story of the Titanic itself and the work of its famous shipbuilder.
The elegant Victorian building carefully restored inside reveals a dreamlike setting, starting with the former design offices (Drawing Offices) which now house the large hotel hall and the main bar.
Reminiscent environments – it is appropriate to say – to live a new concept of luxury in close contact with the authentic history of the place: sandstone finishes, large windows and skylights that run the length of the spaces give plenty of natural light to the hotel that shines with sophistication.
Rooms
The 119 rooms including 3 Junior Suites and 4 Superior Suites reflect all the classic style of the era with its Art Deco wooden furniture and the use of white, black and brass colors. Designed to give the guest a sense of luxury and comfort, with bespoke works of art and the typical details of naval design, there is no lack of the most modern elements of technology and entertainment.
The restaurant
Fine dining experience is entrusted to the award-winning chef Nigel Mannion, who was chosen to manage the hotel’s fine dining restaurant – The Wolff Grill – with views over the spectacular Titanic Belfast building and the historic slides where the Titanic and all the majestic ships were built.
Using the best locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant offers a delicious menu and a unique atmosphere for the guests. A reserved space is also available exclusively for lunches, dinners and private parties.
Next to the hotel the Titanic Belfast stands, a tall building like the hull of the Titanic and modeled to resemble the prows of four ships, amazes for its façade completely covered with 3,000 shimmering silver aluminum splinters from which it originated its nickname local: “the Iceberg”.
Belfast has a new luxury address and the Titanic Hotel Belfast is a true experience with the honor of rising among the world’s leading tourist attractions.
